2004 OSU Alumni Association Outstanding Seniors

The OSU Alumni Association has selected their Outstanding Seniors for 2004 - and three are from chemical engineering.

ChE seniors Cassie Mitchell and Ashley Price were selected as Outstanding - in the top 12 of all OSU graduating seniors from December 2003 through to August 2004. Gary Swantner (ChE), Tom Jenkins (FP&ST), and Vu Doan (MAE) were finalists - in the top 26.   

CEAT has 2 in the top 12 and 5 in the top 26!   

Selection to the Finalists group is based on academic performance, leadership, accomplishment, and participation in extracurricular activities. The Alumni Association selects the Outstanding few from the Finalists after a panel of accomplished OSU alumni returns to town to interview all of the Finalists.   

Ashley Price will start working for Conoco Phillips Company in Houston, Texas, as a Development Engineer working on new processes.   

Gary Swantner will start graduate studies in biomedical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Cassie Mitchell will start graduate studies in biomedical engineering within the chemical engineering program at Georgia Tech, in Atlanta, Georgia.
