OSU AIChE Student Chapter Named as "Outstanding" for the 2003-2004 School Year
AIChE National Headquarters recognized
the OSU AIChE Student Chapter as "Outstanding" for the 2003-2004
school year activities. This rating only goes to the top 10% of
the student chapters in the nation, and is based on student
participation, programming activities, and contribution of the
student chapter to the school and professional development of the
students.
Our student chapter has been named
"Outstanding" for 6 years in a row, and frequently, before that.
We have an exceptional history, with both Jan Wagner and Randy
Lewis having been named as Chapter Advisor of the Year by AIChE.
The chapter is led by our students,
and the 03-04 Officers were: Cassie Mitchell, President. Tim
Plowman, 1st Vice President. Danny Holderman, 2nd Vice President.
Becky Merritt, Secretary. Tyler Pierce, Treasurer. Kelly Lane,
CEAT Representative. Shelby Hutchens, Activities Chair. Ben
Lawrence, Newsletter Chair. Emily Bruce, Planning Chair. Megan
Burns, Senior Liaison. Michelle Ostrander, Junior Liaison.
Kimberly Viscosi, Sophomore Liaison. Emily Bruce, Freshman
Liaison. Dr. Randy Lewis, Advisor. Dr. Sundar Madiahally, Advisor.
Faculty co-advisors for the chapter
are Randy Lewis and Sundar Madihally, who have been instrumental
in sustaining student energy and commitment. In many indirect ways
the entire department contributes to the environment that supports
this extraordinary success - student development and honor for
OSU.
The other schools with outstanding
AIChE student chapters this year are: BYU, Ga Tech, U KY, Miss
State , NCSU, U of SC,
Northeastern, NJIT, Penn State, Kansas State, Missouri-Rolla,
Texas A&M, and OSU.
