News from Chemical Engineering

Ali Moshfeghian, a senior in the School of Chemical Engineering, won first place in technical paper presentations at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers' regional competition in Lawrence, Kansas. His paper detailed his work under Dr. Sundar Madihally, who is developing techniques to grow blood vessels and heart valves using umbilical stem cells. Moshfeghian will represent the region and OSU at the institute's national conference in San Francisco in September.
