2006 Seniors of Significance

Each Year the OSU Alumni Association selects about 12 seniors to be honored as “Outstanding” during the May graduation.  The selection process starts in the fall, and this year 37 students (approximately 1% of the graduating class) were placed in the finalists group, called Seniors of Significance.

One of them, Laura Lenker is shown here with her family.

Criteria for selection are academic performance, leadership, and service to the academic community.  Laura’s significant accomplishments are in people activities.  She serves in a large number of programs which demonstrate elected positions (selection by student peers to be their leader), volunteer positions (her willingness to contribute in service organizations), and selections (for recognitions, and enrichment programs).  She is a well-rounded leader and scholar; and personally, a joy to work with.
