Jan Wagner Receives the 2009 Omega Chi Epsilon Teacher of the Year Award

Omega Chi Epsilon, the chemical engineering student honorary society, coordinates the senior student vote to select the ChE Teacher of the Year.  In 2009 the students choose Dr. Jan Wagner.   

            Incoming Omega Chi Epsilon President Jonathan Pratt gave the plaque to Dr. Wagner during the year end Senior Banquet.

Voting directions to the students state: “… vote for the faculty member you believe is the best Chemical Engineering teacher at Oklahoma State University.  There are no specific guidelines; use criteria that are appropriate for your situation.  Please take time to think back to courses and experiences in your freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years when making your decision.”

            Wagner, has extensive contact time with the students teaching a class in each semester for both juniors and seniors.  And has been chosen “ChE Teacher of the Year” for 5 of the past 10 years.  Wow!
