Kim Viscosi Receives the 2006 Omega Chi Epsilon Outstanding Senior Award

     Omega Chi Epsilon is the chemical engineering student honorary society, and this year the students choose Kimberly Anne Viscosi to be the Outstanding ChE Senior.   Kim is in the biomedical/chemical option of Chemical Engineering; and holds the position as President of the AIChE Student Chapter, after serving in many other officer positions.  As a freshman, she created the award-winning OSU AIChE Student Chapter web site.  As President she led the team of officers in hosting the 2006 regional student conference.

      Kim is a native of Andover, Kansas, and has worked in summer intern positions for ConocoPhillips in Alaska and Texas.  She worked on chemical plant safety and fuel cell projects as an undergraduate researcher with faculty members at OSU.  She is a member of the CEAT Student Council, and as a ConocoPhillips Spirit Scholar has participated in numerous enrichment activities, including a two-week trip to Japan this summer.

     She began working for Raytheon in Tucson, Arizona after graduation.
