For the fourth year in a row, the students of the OSU Omega Chi Epsilon chapter named Dr. Jan Wagner as CHENG Professor of the Year. Omega Chi Epsilon is the national chemical engineering honorary society.

 Jan was honored for his contributions to the design and unit operations lab courses, where he was applauded for his ability to bring the real world into the classroom, sustain high expectations for student performance, and provide helpful coaching for the students.

 Jan is active on the Safety and Chemical Engineering Education committee of AIChE and has served as the SAChE Newsletter Editor for the past several years. Jan also received the AIChE National Outstanding Student Chapter Advisor Award in 1981.
